I caught this in the middle of the night after spinning until 4am.
Here are the Proclaimers, Craig and Charlie singing live & acoustic on that Music Video Network.
I have grown to like this performance the most as time passes because it is so raw and powerful. A modern folk love song classic.
Enjoy
I looked all over for this clip and could not find it. So here is the performance that set the world on fire for a week or two in 1989.
I expect this to be removed fast as it seems someone doesn't want us to see...
Presented in loving memory.
Here is the only copy of Sylvester performed at the legendary 1470 West on May 8th, 1986.
This is one of my most favorite songs sung by one of my favorite entertainers and this was the second song of the show.
Picture quality not so good but audio quality is good.
Sylvester sang to tracks, but all the vocals were live, pure and just so clean.
This is the winner of Video Pool's remix contest in 1985.
Dean Anderson from Berlin Video Bar in Chicago did a great job mixing and editing all know versions (at the time) in to this version.
Anyone know Dean? I called the Bar but on one from that era seems to work their anymore and the website forum area doesn't get much action either.
Thanks for the video.
This song was due to be released a week or two after after this show. He saved the best for last.
I first saw Sylvester in NYC at the Billboard Disco Convention in 1976. He was one of the few artists to visit us in the equipment show area, wearing a full length fur coat in August. What a Diva. That was a magical week in NYC!
Enjoy - With Love, Dwaine
One of Cincinnati's best doing her thing at 1470 West. Here at her best is Bobbi Holiday becoming Diana Ross and sweeping us all away.
If you know Bobbi tell her to e-mail me!
