At Easter, we went to Villa de Leyva for a few days. This old-fashioned Colombian town is about 4 hours from Bogota. It's beautiful with its white-washed buildings and cobble-stoned streets. We had a lovely time just wandering around, looking at the arts and crafts, and enjoying the delicious food...

Sal and J\ Sal and J's Big Adventure Part 2 - Mexico
Posted by: jwalvisch

Video duration: 253 seconds

Here's the second part of our world trip - Mexico. We were still very much learning to use the camera and video edit, so its not great - but a bit better than Hawaii. And the footage - of the incredible pyramids at Teotihuacan, the stunning silver-mining town of Taxco, and the beautiful beach at San Agustinillo - is way cooler than the dull Hawaiin footage...

Video duration: 34 seconds

From Guatemala we headed into Belize for a chilled week at Caye Caulker. Unfortunately, we were so into the relaxed Carribean vibe that we forgot to take the video camera out, and only took a few snaps with the camera. So this is the best I could put together...

From New Orleans we flew to England. We only spent a few days in London, a couple in Northampton, and a couple in Bristol - once again forgetting to take out the video camera. So all we have is these few snapshots.

Sal and J\ Sal and J's Big Adventure Part 18 - Austria
Posted by: jwalvisch

Video duration: 62 seconds

From Lithuania we flew to Austria. I'd have to say this was the lowlight of our trip - the people were rude and grumpy, they lied to us and yelled at us, and all we wanted to do was leave.
I guess I should warn you about explicit language in this one...

Sal and J\ Sal and J's Big Adventure Part 22 - Belgium
Posted by: jwalvisch

Video duration: 181 seconds

Our last European stop was Belgium. While Brussels was a bit odd, we had a fun day out at the incredibly kitsch Mini-Europe - where they have built exact replicas, at a 25:1 scale, of the "most important" monuments from the EU countries...

Sal and J\ Sal and J's Big Adventure Part 23 - Hong Kong
Posted by: jwalvisch

Video duration: 61 seconds

We briefly stopped in Hong Kong on our way back home - but unfortunately the combination of being on the edge of a typhoon (so it poured most of the time we were there) and the steaming heat (which would fog up the the camera lens) meant the camera didn't get take out much. So I only had very limited footage to work with...
