DJ Elbert takes us on a tour of classic Chicago House music including a trip to the modern day sites of The Music Box and The Warehouse nightclubs. Also included is an invite from Frankie Knuckles into his home for a Thanksgiving visit.
Between producing, singing, and running her own record label Proper Talent, DJ Rap manages to spin at over 200 gigs a year. She's also been an actress and a model, and has an orange belt in ninjitsu :p
Initially known as "Ragtyme", Byron Burke, Byron Stingily, & Herb Lawson decided to come up with a new more interesting name for their group. Working off of the word "intensity" they came up with Ten City, and had a smash hit with "That's The Way Love Is". "Superficial People" is one of their follow up singles from 1990.
