BBC 9 O"Clock News Opener October 1986. I recorded this opener while working in London. It featured the so called "Fish Fingers" flying into and out of the UK. BBC colleagues explained to me though that the opener was meant to show all the news coming into London and then pumped out in a news bulletin. The Newsreaders are Julia Sommerville and Andrew Harvey.

BBC 9 O'Clock News Opener 1995. This opener aired in January 1995. The day the OJ Simpson trial opened in Los Angeles. The Reader is veteran Newscaster Michael Buerk. The opener featured the BBC Coat of Arms. The slanted BBC logo was replaced a couple of years later with the one used to this day and the opener was adjusted accordingly.
