This was the recorded at The Record Plant sometime in summer 1970. You can hear a lot of "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" type riffs in here. Rough experimentation here it seems. I added a lot of rare pictures too. Enjoy.

This jam starts off with Stepping Stone and goes into Earth Blues later on. This is the Band of Gypsys with Juma Sultan on percussion. Recorded September 15th 1969.

This jam was recorded on February 14th, 1969 at Olympic Studios in London. Hendrix on guitar, Redding on bass, Mitchell on drums. Really amazing, Jimi was such a great improviser. Mitchell is so good at complimenting him on drums too. Hope you dig it.

I have no idea what's going on here. My guess is there is three guitar tracks mixed, one with a lot of distortion, and two pushed up two octaves (example of octaves- his Purple Haze solo). It creates a synthesizer type sound, and I'm confused to how he did that.
All I know is this was recorded a few months before Woodstock.

This is the most complete version of the old Carl Perkins song. Another, shorter version of this song would eventually surface on the Loose Ends album. This version was recorded during the final days of the Band Of Gypsies on the 23rd January 1970 under the stewardship of engineer Bob Hughes and 2nd engineer Dave Ragno. The band here is Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on Drums

This is Valleys of Neptune off of the Hendrix "In the Studio 10 CD Box Set". Mitchell on drums, Cox on bass, Hendrix on guitar.
Recorded on 23rd July 1970 at Electric Ladyland Studio with Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell, this is an unused alternate instrumental version of the song that would eventually form part of the first posthumous Hendrix release, The Cry Of Love.
Hendrix covered this song in March 1967. It was possibly going to be released on Are You Experienced, but it was never released. The original artist of this song is Michel Polnareff. Song has a great beat to it, real fun song. I'd like to hear the original.
